BLACK MARBLE COLLECTIVE - RAVETOOLS

t’s been a few years since Black Marble Collective has come out with a compilation but now they are back with their biggest release yet featuring 27 amazing tracks from all over the world.

This is the strength of the Black Marble Collective.

The moment of inspiration when album was conceptualized was when STVY RVRE & DEV79 drove out to Las Vegas to perform at NFBN @ The Commonwealth. As they listened to old rave songs from the 90s on the road trip out there, they reminisced about their  early Dj and producer influences. They found a common thread with a few rave compilations from the early 90s when Dev79 whipped out his laptop near Zzyzx Road and started to make a remix on the fly to perform at the event. This song is featured on the album. “Dev79 – Are You Ready?!”

After the show Black Marble Collective decided to create a full compilation of songs that are in the same wholesome vain of rave greatness. We reached out to a few of our artists as well as a few of our favorite producers to hit us with 90s Rave inspired tracks for this compilation. This release is the outcome. 

We have paired these hybrid tracks with a sharp custom album cover art piece made by the creative minds of Anthony Romero & STVY RVRE. The Concept was to create an AKIRA style anime cover, but what if AKIRA took another route? What if Kaneda went full on BIONIC RAVER. Now that represents everything a RAVETOOL can be. It’s super high detail from the mechanical aspects of the cyborg arm to the killer stickers on the motorcycle. It’s a total throwback to the era of Hook-Ups Skate Tee’s and 90s Anime.

The music on the compilation was hand picked and curated to reflect the many different styles and genres that Black Marble Collective represents.

The team at Black Marble Collective have maintained an incredibly consistent high standard throughout the course of 2019, with this latest compilation providing the cherry for the metaphorical cake they really do deserve. They assemble a goliath 16 track collection including original heat from the likes of DJ Ends, Jah Bliddie, Andrew DIFF, Dev79 and more. For us there are a couple of stand out favourites, including 6Blocc's incredibly emotive rethink 'For Life', originally featuring A.Fruit. We also love the rave-ready basslines of Dom Corleone's 'Yo Body' VIP mix and the junglist slices of 'Underground' from Alexandre. - JUNO DOWNLOAD
